Studying for finals is seriously owning my ass.  I'm worrying for the first time this semester because I'm not all that confident I'll do well since I skipped so many classes due to my poor health in November and December.  I really hope I'll be ok and I'm sure I will...doesn't help that I'm worrying like crazy.

I know this has been online before, but I haven't seen it in good quality, and I didn't nearly hear all the words.  And seeing the HD quality when dowloaded and not from youtube made me drool. 

I saw snippets of the Wolverine's past part when it was in fact animated but I didn't see too much to know in terms of characters or story; like I might have seen like a minute or two.  But I do vaguely remember the black haired chick/love interest and some of the other people on the team.  All that I can say is I am QUITE excited.  Not to mention Hugh's hair looks HAAAWT in this movie lololol

Speaking of which, anybody know where in the show that was or where in the comic book it was?  I figured where I have at least three comic book nerd friends that somebody would know.

I realized today just how much big fan of Gambit I am know, maybe even more so than Wolverine which is sayin' something considering he's my second favorite character (and yes she is a character not an "alternate personality">xxxxxxx>. DAMN YOU AMBER AND PERCY, DAMN YOU :SHAKES FIST AT:and is it just me or does he look exceedingly sexy in that one shot with the hat

Hmm yeah, I thought that was Emma but I was like "WTF is she doing in Origins?!? o_0" But deadpool in there makes me very happy, and I'm excited that Liev Schriber is playing Sabertooth, and sorry I giggled at that last part with the teeth. I've always loved him as an actor and I think he'll do a great job.

So like..explain to me the deal with this Mariko chick, japanese chick, and chick in movie, cause I am VERY VERY confused. For a hardcore Wolverine fan, I sure suck at knowing my canon history about him.

Okay. Lemme see if I can break this down. Like I said, there's no one ACCEPTED story, so I'm going with bits and pieces.

Mariko Yashida was this lovely Japanese woman who Logan ended up being engaged to. Their wedding was kind of messed up by Mastermind, and through a crazy series of events involving a toxin and such, he was forced to kill her.

However, in the movieverse, in the second film there was that crazy Japanese woman who worked for Stryker and had the claws as well. If I remember correctly, she was introduced as Mariko. Needless to say, this is somewhat confusing on my part. I'm not sure how they're planning on blending the universes, or at all. Since this is set before Wolverine finds the X-Men (again, I think), they may find a way to mix the stories somehow. *shrugs* My friend Riley knows Wolverine far better than I do. I'll ask her to clarify, and report back.

Of course, a thought just occured to me. If this is set before the other three X-flicks, then movieverse Rogue/Gambit could get REALLY, REALLY WEIRD. Like, pedo-weird. This could result in a sad-face on my part.

Deadpool got scarred up because of Weapon X. Here's how it goes.

Wade Wilson is the only member of Weapon X that is not a mutant. Weapon X's original purpose was to graft adamantium onto a subject's skeleton. After proving that adamantium is poisonous to human beings, they came up with the next logical step: give the subject a healing factor, too.

Enter Wade Wilson. Already a mercenary, and diagnosed with brain cancer, he volunteered for the Weapon X program, hoping the healing factor would fight off the cancer. The process was a success, but there were a few problems. Firstly, he was scarred beyond recognition and seemed unable to heal these scars (as they were technically inflicted pre-factor).

The other (and bigger) problem is that the factor fought off the cancer too well. What it did was constantly refresh his brain, driving him a little bit bat-shit. He was deemed too unstable to receive the adamantium, but was kept on for his fighting ability, nigh-invulnerability, and... shall we say ambiguous sense of morality.

When you explain it that way it really does make sense. And who knows maybe they'll like scar him up like during the movie or something? Like...I don't know, cuz honestly I think dead pool is actually pretty lame with out his signature mask lol.

Ryan Reynolds as Hannibal King in Blade Trinity was pretty much Deadpool. The only way this casting could be as awesome is if Ryan Reynolds played Wally West/The Flash and even then it may not be perfect because Wally isn't as vulgar. (I think)

As Percy says Mariko was Wolverine's fiance.

The Japanese woman in the movie is Lady Deathstrike, who as we saw has the same kickass powers as Wolverine. While originally she was a different character from Mariko, it has been known for the writers to merge the two together. This is what happened in X Men: TAS when they introduced Lady Deathstrike and said that she and Logan were once involved. Since they called Lady Deathstrike Mariko in the second movie, it sounds like they merged the two characters together again so that comic fans could cackle at all the hidden subtext.

Dude that hidden subtext would've helped A LOT more considering that I had no idea about that until Percy explained. Then again a lot of my Wolverine history is very fuzzy considering I either haven't learned it or when I did learn it it was ages ago and I only got snippits i.e. like with Silver Fox and the TV show.

But wutever, they have her in there and they have Gambit and Deadpool I'm effin' content with that.

I was at the edge of my seat during their fight scene waiting for Wolverine to remember buying her flowers and taking her out to dinner. It would have been all bright and colourful a la Pushing Daisies and give Wolverine a new reason to angst.

I can't wait to see Gambit, Wolverine and Deadpool on screen all at the same time. It will be so f-ing hawt. *g*
