kirscheFor those bleach fans out there here is an announcement and some latest news on the series. Over the past few weeks there has been rumors flying around like crazy that bleach has been liscenced. Animenewsnetwork started the whole thing by reporting there's a possibility that Viz might liscence it. Well my friends I just checked bleach7.com and they've reported that Bleach has been officially liscenced by Viz. Here's Viz's actual statement if you doubt my sources:
"San Francisco, CA, March 15, 2006 – VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), VIZ Media, LLC (VIZ Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive publishing, animation and licensing companies, announced today that it has secured from worldwide licensors, TV TOKYO Corporation and Shueisha Inc., the television, home video and merchandising rights to SHONEN JUMP’S BLEACH in the Americas, Europe and Oceania. The appointment of VIZ Media as Master Licensor was facilitated by TV TOKYO Medianet, the licensing arm of TV TOKYO."
I frankly don't know what to make of this actually. I mean sure it's great because now we'll see like bleach video games and more bleach merchandise. But there's also the infamous excuse of....the dubs. I mean I'm worried about it but idk I'm trying to keep an open mind about it. I'll be happy if the dubb is on a par or sub par level compared to the subb. Just as long as the dubb isn't as bad as the naruto dubb :major shudder: i'll be kool with it. The only thing that's gotten me really disappointed about this whole thing is the fact that Lunar isn't going to subb bleach anymore because they stop subbing anime when it becomes liscenced. That's a major major major boo considering that not only was that the fastest torrenting of bleach but also they had the best quality. I'll miss you lunar, you were really good to me :tear: :tear:.
But yah just thought i'd like to spread the word around considering that most ppl i know have either watched or heard of bleach. And if you don't appreciate the news...well poo on you because Bleach is a fucking amazing anime and it should be worthy of infinite amounts of gratitude.
Alright well I'd love to talk about my day today but a. i'm tired b. i have work to do and c. it's worth making it in a seperate post. Like I said before the pupose of the post was mostly just to spread the word. So pass the good (or bad, depending on the way you take it) news along for it must be proclaimed throught out the land.
